A new self charging GPS tracking device has been unveiled this week in the form of Retrievor which has been launched on the Indiegogo crowd funding website looking to make the jump from concept to production.
The Retrievor GPS tracker has been designed to function almost anywhere in the world using traditional GPS for tracking but it also includes GSM connectivity to improve the spatial resolution or accuracy using cell triangulation. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the Retrievor GPS project and see it in action.
Using the Retrievor GPS device you can track its whereabouts live online or set geo-fence parameters and measures not much bigger that a US quarter and its thickness is the equivalent to about 4 stacked on top of one another, say its creators (28 mm in diameter and 10 mm thick). Who also explain a little more about its design.
